If you have
experience on a wind instrument, we hope you
will consider performing in one of our fine
ensembles. The Radford University Wind Ensemble and
Symphonic Band are under the direction of
Dr. Wayne
Gallops and provide music majors and non-majors with
wonderful performance opportunities throughout the
academic year. Each year the Bands prepare 6-8
on-campus concerts. The new Douglass and Bea Covington Center for the Visual and Performing Arts serves as home to the RU Bands, featuring rehearsal halls and a state of the art performance space.
Placement in the
Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band or RU Pep Band is by
informal audition during the first week of classes.
